Dr. Kimberly Sims is a physician, coach, best-selling author, educator, and wellness champion. Outside her day job, she empowers professional everyday women who have been sacrificing self for success and service to break up with the Superwoman Syndrome and choose wellness, power and peace.
In summer 2019, Dr. Sims went through something truly life changing. She became debilitated by migraines to the point that they took her out of work, out of church, out of life. It caused her to sit down and really think, really get to know herself, and rediscover her voice, reexamine her purpose, and promise that her wellness and peace were top priorities. It also made her extremely passionate about helping others do the same. She wants you to take your Wonder Woman (or you, know, your fave) CAPE off, and choose progress, purpose, power and peace over perfection. Heal. Empower. Restore to wellness.
Dr. Sims is also proud of her work educating not just her patient’s and residents, but the community. During the pandemic, she was engaged in a web series with her minister, “Prescriptions for the Pandemic,” which sought to update the community weekly on how to best stay safe through the ever-changing landscape of the pandemic. Additionally, she has participated in multiple speaking engagements, worked with H3W Wellness Workshops to promote wellness in women, and worked with American Heart Association to raise funds and spread awareness about heart disease in women, and much more.
Dr. Sims has been recognized by her colleagues as a “Rising Star” in Texas Super Doctors for three consecutive years and was awarded by her professional organization as “Early Career Physician of the Year.”
She’s a physician, but please don’t take the things she says as your personal medical advice or a substitute for a conversation between you and your personal primary care physician. She is not, practicing medicine outside of a formal physician-patient relationship. Also, should you figure out who employs her, organizations she’s affiliated with, etc. (it’s the internet–it won’t be hard), know that while she hopes never to say anything that would embarrass anyone associated with her, her opinions are hers, and in this space, she represents only herself.
You can contact her at [email protected] with questions, comments and feedback.
