I’ve been married for 13 years to a pretty wonderful guy! If there’s one thing about marriage, it’s that it will most certainly teach you that all the things you took for granted were just the way things were, are, in fact, just the way YOUR family did them. Boy, has this been a journey, and a beautiful one. I actually think our biggest pitfall in marriage is expecting it to be perfect, expecting that we’re going to fix it all. Instead of expecting it to transform us–for the better–and enjoying the process.
My husband is the complete opposite to me the yang to my yin, the type B to my A, concrete to my analytical, the nice to my…I’m not mean–just very honest. He balances me and stretches me, and I sometimes wish I could do existence like him because it seems much more pleasant–but that’s probably oversimplifying his life–or maybe it isn’t. Anyway, I’m pretty sure he’s exactly who I’m supposed to be with for all those reasons.
